This work is a gradient mesh, a vector-based image with points that dictate a gradient. The colors fade into each other realistically, and can be molded into a shape as well as twisted with the guide points. I took an image of Joanna Newsome, a famous musician, and, using a swatch of sampled colors, created a slightly less mundane image.
